Born and raised in the St. Croix Valley, Benjamin is proud to serve the community where he lives and works. He and his wife Marissa have two children and are growing their family. He values the strong local ties and relationships that shape both his personal life and professional practice.

Eric is Benjamin Scheel's paralegal at Sycamore Law, where he provides support relating to business, real estate, and construction disputes. He supports Benjamin represent corporations, small businesses, property owners, contractors, and developers, with a focus on efficient case preparation and organized, detail-driven support.

 

His work provides support on legal research, drafting, case strategy, clear communication, and practical risk assessment so clients understand their position and options from the outset. Known for his reliability, responsiveness, and ability to manage complex files, Eric helps the team resolve disputes strategically while remaining ready to support counsel when necessary.

 

Originally from Blaine, Minnesota, Eric is proud to study, live, and work with residents of Minnesota. Eric is currently completing his Juris Doctor and will sit for the July 2026 Bar Exam. He values the local relationships and professional connections he is building and looks forward to continuing his career serving clients in Minnesota.

Marissa Scheel

Marissa Scheel is the Director of Firm Operations & Administration at Sycamore Law, where she leads the firm's operations, client service initiatives, and administrative functions. As a co-founder of the firm, she plays an integral role in ensuring that every client receives a responsive, organized, and exceptional experience from their first interaction through the resolution of their legal matter.

 

With more than a decade of experience supporting businesses, executives, and growing organizations, Marissa brings a unique blend of operational expertise, strategic thinking, and a genuine passion for helping people. Her professional background includes leadership roles within professional services, consulting, higher education, and hospitality, giving her a well-rounded perspective on client service and business management.

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys reading and traveling, having explored more than 30 countries, and spending time with her husband, children, family, and friends. She is a Wisconsin native that believes that some of life's best lessons come from experiencing new places, meeting new people, and embracing new perspectives.
